Hello Panthers! I am excited to begin my 8th year in education here in Sheldon. It is even more rewarding to give back to my home, the Sheldon community, on the very grounds in which I received my K-12 learning experience. I have many teachers and coaches to thank over the years who have impacted my life and I hope I make a difference in the lives of your students today.
I began as a student in Royalwood for those exploring early years before moving to Sheldon Intermediate (which is now Sheldon ECA) for 5th and 6th Grade. For those marvelous middle school years, I attended C.E. King Junior High before heading over to the High School from '92-'96. In C.E. King High School, I was involved in Student Council, Jets Biological/Medical Club, Spanish Club, UIL Math and Science, National Honor Society, Boys' State Program, baseball, track, and cross-country. I graduated 4th with a GPA of 4.92 and was a part of the 1996 state champion Panther track team!
For my undergraduate studies, I attended McNeese State University where I majored in Chemical Engineering and ran track and cross-country. I then, moved back home and earned a degree in Mathematics from the University of Houston with a minor in Chemistry. I am currently completing my Masters Degree in Education from Lamar University. I obtained my teaching certificate in 2008 and have been enjoying education ever since. I have taught Science and Math at Null Middle School, but this year I will be at King Middle School.
This year, I will be the Math and Science Instructional Coach for C.E. King Middle School. As a coach, I will work with teachers to create and help them deliver awesome lessons. I will analyze data so that students are receiving the critical knowledge that they need, not only to pass the state exam, but to become well-rounded learners.
Looking forward to a great year!
