Puppet Week at Sheldon ECA

May 16 – 20 was Puppet Week at Sheldon ECA! Ms. Lynch, the school’s librarian, is an expert puppeteer. She, along with Mr. Dickson and Ms. Tomaselli, performed puppet shows of “The Three Pigs,” “Peter Rabbit,” and “Why the Sea is Salt.”

On Thursday, Carranza Puppets visited the school and performed “Hansel and Gretel.” Carranza Puppets are dedicated to bringing quality marionette and hand puppet shows to children that are educational, as well as entertaining. Using exquisitely handcrafted marionettes, Carranza Puppets perform at elementary schools using original music orchestrated, especially for each year’s production.

In the weeks leading up to Puppet Week, students had been creating their own puppets. They got to end Puppet Week with a “Parade of Puppets.” Students marched through the halls showing off their puppet creations.
